Freak accident on the sets, Anjali suffers electric shock
Anjali, who has been shooting for Kalanjiyam's Oor Suttri Puranam sustained electric shock as she tripped over a live wire on the sets of the movie near Thiruporur today. She was given first aid in the caravan after which she was also rushed to the nearby hospital for further treatment.
Anjali is a favorite among budget movie producers and directors and has won numerous accolades for her performances in movies like Engeyum Eppodhum and Angadi Theru. Following her accident, the movie's shoots were cancelled temporarily.
Anjali meanwhile is awaiting the release of Vatthikuchi on the 15th of March

Two back to back releases for Dhanush
Dhanush is gearing up for two important releases this year. The actor has announced that Bharath Bala’s Mariyaan will release by mid 2013 and his Bollywood debut, Anand Rai’s Raanjhnaa would hit the screens on July 28th 2013. He has also revealed that he would be convincing Bharath Bala to release a teaser of Mariyaan very soon.
Mariyaan stars Parvathi Menon as the female lead and Sonam Kapoor stars opposite Dhanush in Raanjhnaa. Both the films will have music by the Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman.

Vairamuthu
offers to share his earnings
Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu’s novel ‘Moondraam Ulaga Por’ has earned
him the prestigious ‘Ilakkiya Chinthanai’ award. Vairamuthu feels honored by
the recognition received from the honorable institution.
Vairamuthu’s novel ‘Moondraam
Ulaga Por’ deals with the turmoil of farmers in India, a country known for
agriculture but spelling doom for agriculturalists. He has spent nearly 3
years in researching their struggles and motives and has taken 10 months to pen
the book.
In a truly novel gesture,
Vairamuthu has offered to share the profits of the book’s sales to the families
that have been affected in the Cauvery Delta region. On the day of receiving
the ‘Ilakkiya Chinthanai’ award, April 12th2013, Vairamuthu plans to
action his generous intentions.
The novel is currently being
translated in to English and will be made available in several parts of the
world.
Busy 2013 for Shruthi Hassan
Daughter of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, Shruti Haasan made her Kollywood debut in 2011 through the Suriya starrer 7aum Arivu. Since then, there has been no looking back for the actress, with a handful of projects to her kitty. Though Shruti Haasan is not working on any Tamil film currently, she is busy with a number of Telugu and Hindi films.
The pretty actress tweeted, "Workwise 2013 has been my busiest year so far ! Will have 5 releases in the month of june :D and more in the works :) feeling blessed"
Shruti Haasan was last seen in Aishwarya Dhanush's 3, in which she was paired opposite Dhanush.
